Pet sitting is strictly an animal-lovers only profession and at Preseli Animal Homecare, we provide an extremely professional home and animal care service - for all your creatures, great or small. It requires a great deal of commitment and attention to detail, visiting clients in all weathers and at all hours, walking dogs in the pounding rain, scorching hot sun or freezing cold winds. However, to us, it is the most rewarding of occupations.
We also understand how important it is to have peace of mind that your pet's needs and home are being looked after while you're away.
Preseli Animal Homecare provide a viable alternative to kennels or catteries, allowing your pets to stay in their familiar surrounds and follow their normal routines. To achieve this, we offer the following options:
(1) Pet sitting - We'll come to you to care for your pets in the familiar surroundings of their home.
(2) House sitting (includes farms and small holdings) - We'll stay in your home and take care of your house and animals.
(3) Day Care - We'll come to you and look after your animals during the day.
Whichever option you choose you can be assured that all feeding, grooming, pampering and exercise needs of your beloved creatures (great or small) are taken care of according to your requirements, while you enjoy your much needed break.
Whatever your needs, Preseli Animal Homecare can fulfil them
1) Pet sitting
We will visit your home whilst you're away to ensure your animals are well cared for. We are experienced with all types of animals - from lizards & other exotics to fish, tortoises, budgies, parrots, hamsters, cats, dogs, pigs, poultry, sheep, cows and horses. During our visit to your home, we can collect the post, turn lights on and off, open and close curtains, water the plants, take the rubbish out, etc.
Cat Naps
Cats especially do not like to be moved. Your cats get to stay in their familiar surroundings and still receive all the care and attention they need demand. They will be fed and watered with the litter trays cleaned out and re-filled as necessary - after all, we all know how cats like things kept clean!! But most importantly your cats will get the pampering, fuss and attention they know they deserve.
Dog Walking
Dogs require physical and mental stimulation to keep them in optimum health and happiness. Most behavioural problems such as chewing, digging, and barking are caused by boredom, isolation or insufficient exercise.
We will take them on their favourite walks for as long as is needed. We will always comply to your instructions.
2) House/Farm and Small Holding Sitting
Putting your animals into boarding kennels may distress them. You may have pets that cannot be put into kennels or catteries - eg, chickens, ducks, geese, horses, rabbits, goats, spiders, lizards & other large or small creatures. With our home sitting service they stay within the comfort of their own homes and we always follow your usual routine in order to minimise distruption while you're away.
As an added benefit to having your animals looked after and all the extras that the Pet Sitting option offers, we can also provide 24 hour security coverage of your home - which we can offer you, even if you don't have any animals! This presence will not only deter vandals and burglars but also keep your home aired and lived in and allow us to spend longer with your animals.
If you don't need 24 hour coverage, then we offer a minimum of 15 hours running from 6pm in the evening until 8am the next morning or there is also a 20 hour option which allows us to come and go for a maximum of three hours during the day and no more than one hour at night. We will ensure you have complimentary milk and bread in the pantry so you can make yourself a cup of tea and a sandwich when you return.
3) Day Care
This service is ideal if you need a visit for longer than two hours and it normally starts from about 7 - 8am in the morning until 5 - 6pm at night.

Should the worst happen to your home - eg, burst boiler, electrical faults - don't panic! We have a range of contractors (with Martin being an electrician) we can contact to fix the problem straight away before it causes irreparable damage.
